Closing ceremony of the second training workshop on the Disastaer Inventory
System DesInventar in Central America. 17 participants were trained on
DesInventar, the workshop had a strong methodologic component; after the
workshop the participants are able to feed the disaster data base as wells
as consult it through DesConsultar.

As a part of the both activities the Strategic Frame for the Reduction of
Vulnerability and Natural Disasters in Central America and the Quinquennium
for the Reduction of Vulnerabilities and the Impact of Natural Disasters,
the CEPREDENAC developed with LA RED a regional workshop during 23th and
24th of November (2000), in the building of the National Civil Protection
System (SINAPROC) at Panama city.
The Regional Workshop, was guided by both David Smith of Cepredenac and
Cristina Rosales from OSSO (LA RED), with the cooperation of Camilo Polanco
from EAFIT university (Medellín, Colombia).
