has been completed and complemented in the frame of the IAI-LA RED
project "Risk management of ENSO disasters in Latin America". CIESAS sent the
data base, wich covers the period 1970-2001 with 6296 report of disasters"

the world and its disaster data bases.

The updated data bases from Colombia and Argentina where uploaded to this
website. Both bases have been completed under the IAI-LA RED project: Risk
Management of ENSO disasters in Latin America. Among other activities of
this project, one it is to complete and to complement data bases from
1970 to present. In the case of Colombia, the data base uploaded was
complemented from 1985-1989, future uploads will include the period 1970 to
1979. In the Argentine case the uploaded data base include the new period
1982-1987; the period 1970-1981 will be updated during the next two years.
